Removing Rear Door Panel

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Unclip cover on door opener -1-  using a plastic wedge.

2. Unscrew and remove screws -1-  .

3. Unclip door light -1-  using a plastic wedge, disconnect and remove electric plug connection -arrow-  .

4. Unscrew screw -1-  .

5. Pull rear guide door panel up out of the bracket and swivel it to the front.
6. Disengage cable for door opener.

   Cable for door opener

   1. 6.1 Spread locking lugs outwards -arrows a-  .
   2. 6.2 Move cable for door opener to the rear and out of the guide -arrow b-  .
   3. 6.3 Swivel cable for door opener in direction of arrow -arrow c-  until the driver at the front is free.
   4. 6.4 Remove driver from the door opener -arrow d-  .
7. Release electric plug connection at the door control unit and pull it off.
