Installing Upper Part Of B-Pillar Trim Panel
Information
Check that the clips are not bent or broken.
Check that all clips are positioned fully and correctly.
Replace damaged or missing clips with new ones.
- Install upper part of B-pillar trim panel -3-
.
Upper part of B-pillar trim panel
- 1.1 Move seat-belt height adjustment -1- and sliding unit -2- to the lowest position.
- 1.2 Guide belt strap and belt latch in through the upper part of the B-pillar trim panel -3- .
- 1.3 Guide tabs on upper part of B-pillar trim panel -3- into the mounting points on the body.
- 1.4 Insert retaining pivot for seat-belt height adjustment -1- into the cut-out on the sliding unit -2- .
- 1.5 Clip in upper part of B-pillar trim panel -3- .
Information
Do not twist the three-point belt during installation!
- Install seat belt mount.

NOTIFICATION
Incorrect handling of spring plate on seat belt mount
- The seat belt must be replaced.
→ Only bend the spring plate up as far as required to allow you to push the seat belt mount off the mounting pin.
→ The spring plate must be touching the mounting pin during installation with preload.
- 2.1 Position seat belt mount -2- on the retaining pin -4- and pull upward until the retaining clip -3- locks with an audible click.
- 2.2 Pull on the belt strap. The retaining clip -3- must engage fully on the holder.
Push the cap -1- over the belt fitting -2- and lock it. The label on the seat belt must be pushed into the cap -1- when you slide the cover down.
- Fit rubber door seal over upper part of B-pillar trim panel.
- Check that seat-belt height adjustment -1- is working properly.
