Removing Carpet

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Remove floor covering -2-  .

Carpet

1. 1.1 Carefully lift up rear scuff plate -1-  in the front area and remove carpet -2-  .
2. 1.2 Lift carpet -2-  in the rear area -arrows A-  .
3. 1.3 Guide electric line out of the floor covering -2-  .
4. 1.4 Disengage the carpet -2-  at the sides from the retaining pivot -3-  .
5. 1.5 Pull carpet -2-  back slightly -arrows B-  .
6. 1.6 Press carpet -2-  together slightly in the footwells, guide it out at the trim panels -4-  and remove it by pulling it to the rear.
7. 1.7 Remove carpet -2-  .
