Removing Trim Panel Under Dashboard On Driver's Side

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Move front seat to the rearmost position.
2. Remove trim panel under dashboard on driver side -1-  .

   1. 2.1 Unscrew screw -2-  at the bottom of the dashboard.
   2. 2.2 Unscrew screw -3-  at the left of the dashboard.
   3. 2.3 Unscrew screw -4-  at the right of the dashboard.
   4. 2.4 Unclip trim panel under dashboard on driver side -1-  and pull it down slightly.
3. Remove trim panel under dashboard on driver side -6-  .

1. 3.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connections at the rotary light switch -1-  , ignition starter switch light -2-  , ignition starter switch -3-  and temperature sensor -4-  .
2. 3.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection at the footwell light.
3. 3.3 Remove diagnostic socket -5-  .
4. 3.4 Guide out footrest tab -7-  and remove trim panel under dashboard on driver side -6-  .
