Removing Rear Side Panel

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information 

Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

Information 

Mark cuts X in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

1. Mark and make cuts. > Distance 86 mm  > Distance 60 mm  > Distance 90 mm  > Distance 50 mm

2. Drill out spotwelds using > VAS 882 001 - spotweld remover  .

3. Bend up wheel arch edge in area -Arrows-  .

4. Heat marked bonding surfaces using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .

5. Remove rear side section.
