Removing A-Pillar

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information 

Mark cuts X & Y  in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

1. Remove wing bracket.

   Information 

   Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

   1. 1.1  Drill out spotwelds -A-  using > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld breaker  .
   2. 1.2  Grind down welded seams -Arrows-  .

2. Mark and make cuts. > Distance 70 mm  > Distance 65 mm

3. Drill out spotwelds using > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld breaker  .

4. Remove A-pillar.
5. Remove remaining piece of wing attachment strip.

   Information 

   Loosen connection points on one s de only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

   1. 5.1  Drill out spotwelds using > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld breaker  .
