Removing Front-End Electronics Control Unit

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage peaks 

• Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 

  → Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work. 
• Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation. 
• Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts. 

1. Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 2 m).
2. Loosen relay carrier -1-  .

   1. 2.1 Release relay carrier -arrow a-  and swivel it down -arrow b-  .
   2. 2.2 Pull relay carrier -1-  out of the holder -2-  (-arrow c-  ) and set it aside with lines connected.
3. Press release -arrow a-  , swivel front-end electronics control unit -1-  down at the front -arrow b-  and remove it from the holder -2-  at the rear.

4. Release electric plug connections -1-  and disconnect -Arrows-  from the front-end electronics control unit -2-  .

5. Release swivel bar -1-arrow a-  and swivel it downwards and disconnect electric plug connections from the rear-end electronics control unit -2-  .

6. Release electric plug connections -3-  and disconnect them from the front-end electronics control unit -arrow b-  .
