Install Left Rear Light

If the rear light is replaced, continue with Step 1:

If the rear light is replaced, continue with Step 2:

1. Fit insect protection on the new rear light.
   1. 1.1 Place insect protection in cable feed-through point opening.

   2. 1.2 Secure electric line to the rear light with a tie-wrap.

   3. 1.3 Cut off remaining tie-wraps.
2. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
   1. 2.1 If installed: Tighten fastening screw -3-  on front retaining strip -2-  to > Tightening torque 7, 2 Nm  .

   2. 2.2 Tighten fastening nuts -1-  on front retaining strip -2-  to > Tightening torque 7, 2 Nm  .

      Information 

      The electric line must not be between the seal and lamp housing.

   3. 2.3 Guide electric connector through the side section -1-  .

      Electric lines

      Pull electric line fully through the opening -2-  so that the electric line is not trapped between the gasket and bodyshell.

   4. 2.4 Tighten -1-  > Tightening torque 7.2 Nm  fastening screw.

   5. 2.5 If the tail light was replaced, set the gap dimensions by turning the adjustment device.
