Information 

The PIWIS Tester  instructions take precedence since the description may be different with later Tester releases.

The procedure described here has been structured in general terms. Different text or additional information may appear on the PIWIS Tester. 

  1. Connect the Tester to the service disconnector using > 9818/ET 500 - Y-connector, Russia  and start it. Switch on ignition.
  2. IMPORTANT: Connect the red cable -1-  to the emergency call system socket.

  3. Connect the black cable -2-  to the service disconnector socket in the vehicle.

  4. Select the vehicle type if necessary.
  5. Select Emergency call system (ERA GLONASS)  in the overview. Press F12 to continue.
  6. Select Actual values/input signals. 
    1. 6.1  Select General. 
    2. 6.2  Select Back-up battery voltage. 
    3. 6.3  Back-up battery voltage > 7.0 volts: Back-up battery OK.

      Back-up battery voltage < 7.0 volts: Replace back-up battery.

  7. Exit the diagnostic application. Switch off ignition. Disconnect the Tester from the vehicle.
