Installing Sealing Ring For Drive Shaft
Information
- Before re-installation: Clean the guide sleeve, transmission input shaft and release lever, particularly at the lubrication points.
- We recommend that you use brake cleaner as the cleaning agent.
- Pre-position the sealing ring.
- 1.1 Grease sealing ring between the dust and sealing lips with Liqui-Moly PU53/WDR.
- 1.2 >9255 - Assembly sleeve-1- must now be pushed over the splines of the drive shaft.
- 1.3 Slide sealing ring -2- over the assembly sleeve.
- 1.4 Remove assembly sleeve.

- Tap sealing ring in as far as it will go using >9628 - pressure piece-1-

- Fit guide sleeve.
- 3.1 Position the guide sleeve.
- 3.2 Tighten screws -1-

> Tightening torque 24 Nm (17.7 ftlb.)

- 3.3 Lubricate the guide sleeve with a light coating of Kluberalfa HM83-801. Lubrication point: -arrow- .

- Grease the splines of the transmission input shaft with Longtime 3EP.
- Lubricate release lever with a light coating of Kluberalfa HM83-801 at the contact points. Lubrication points: -Arrows-

- Fit release lever and release bearing.

- 6.1 Position release lever -1- together with the release bearing -2- in direction of arrow -A- .
- 6.2 Engage wire spring -3- in the opening on the release lever -B- from behind.
