Installing Clutch
Information
Friction surfaces of the flywheel and clutch pressure plate must be completely free of oil and grease before installation.
- > 9102 - Centering mandrel together with the drive plate must be inserted into the guide joint. Check the marking transmission side on the drive plate while doing this.
- Install clutch pressure plate -1-
.
- 2.1 Replace screws on clutch pressure plate -2- .
- 2.2 Position clutch pressure plate -1- and fit screws for clutch pressure plate -2- .
- 2.3 Screw in screws for clutch pressure plate -2- evenly in several steps and in diagonally opposite sequence as far as the mounting face.
- 2.4 Tighten screws for clutch pressure plate -2-
in diagonally opposite sequence.
> Initial tightening 10 Nm (7.4 ftlb.)
> Initial tightening 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.)
> Final tightening torque angle 90 Degree +/- 2 Degree
Clutch pressure plate
- Remove tools.
- 3.1 Loosen nut on >VAS 6766 - Counter-hold tool-1- and unscrew screw -3- .
- 3.2 >VAS 6766 - Counter-hold tool must now be removed.
- 3.3 >9102 - Centering mandrel must be removed from the clutch.
