Installing Oil Cooler
Information
- Aluminium screws must always be replaced.
- Aluminium screws must be secured using the yield-strength procedure.
- To ensure that the screws are tightened uniformly, the specified tightening setting "light, medium or hard" must be used.
- The threshold torque (initial tightening) must be set on the >9768 - electronic torque wrench from 2 - 100 Nm (1.5 - 74 ftlb.) when tightening using the yield-strength procedure.
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
- 1.1 Clean sealing faces.
- 1.2 Replace moulded seal and coat with a light coating of Kluber Syntheso Glep.
- 1.3 Check that the moulded seal is seated correctly.
- 1.4 Replace screws securing oil cooler to transmission.
- 1.5 Tighten new
screws securing oil cooler to transmission -1 to 12-
.
Screws -1 to 4- : >Initial tightening 3.3 Nm
Screws -5 to 9- : >Initial tightening 3.3 Nm
Screws -1 to 9- > Final tightening 45°
Screws -10 to 12- > Initial tightening 4.5 Nm
Screws -10 to 12- > Final tightening 90°
