Subsequent Work

  1. All-wheel drive vehicles  : Secure the cardan shaft to the double-clutch transmission.

    390219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CARDAN SHAFT

  2. Install rear axle carrier.

    420619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR AXLE CARRIER

  3. Secure ground strap for battery.

    Information 

    After replacing the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) or after carrying out repairs in the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the transmission control unit must be calibrated using the PIWIS Tester  .

  4. If the double-clutch transmission was replaced:
    1. 4.1 Perform calibration: 
      1. 4.1.1 PIWIS Tester -> Transmission/PDK control unit -> Maintenance/repairs -> Calibration of double-clutch transmission > Calibration of transmission after part replacement
      2. 4.1.2 Read and follow the instructions on the Tester.
    2. 4.2 Check data version in the transmission electronics control unit and update to the latest data version if necessary.
  5. In the event of significant coolant loss (> 200 ml), drain the coolant and bleed the system.

  6. Check engine coolant level and fill to maximum level if necessary.
  7. Vehicles with PDCC:  Bleed the PDCC system.
