Changing ATF

Information 

To ensure that the transmission is filled correctly, the vehicle must be horizontal on the lifting platform.

Information 

ATF specifications for Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK):

• Storage: Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, at a temperature not less than -40°C and not higher than +50°C
• Storage time: 5 years from fill date on container
• Before using oil: Shake the container well for at least 10 seconds.

Only use oil approved by Porsche in the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), see Parts Information.

1. Drain ATF.
   1. 1.1 >VAS 6622A - Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit  must be placed under the transmission.
   2. 1.2 Unscrew oil drain plug -1-  and drain ATF.
   3. 1.3 Tighten new  oil drain plug -1-  .

      > Tightening torque 16.5 Nm (12.2 ftlb.) 

      Replace sealing ring.

   Information 

   The oil filler screw will be replaced and tightened to the required tightening torque while checking and topping up ATF  .

2. Fill in ATF.
   1. 2.1 Unscrew oil filler screw -1-  .
   2. 2.2 Fill in ATF at the filler bore using >VAS 6563 - Manual metering pumps, Porsche set  until ATF emerges.
   3. 2.3 Screw in oil filler screw -1-  slightly.
