Information
Only use steering-wheel holders that do not project into the airbag unit area. Shorten the guide rod of the steering-wheel holder at the top if necessary.
- Clamp steering wheel in centre position with the steering-wheel holder. >Steering wheel holder

- Check whether the steering wheel is offset with respect to the power-steering gear. The centre position marking on the sensor cover -1-
must be aligned with the marking on the protection cap -2-
.

- 3.1 If the steering wheel is offset with respect to the power-steering gear, re-position the steering wheel.
- Adjust the toe.
Front-axle toe
- 4.1 Loosen nut -1- on tie rod using >9730 - socket-wrench insert . Counter the tie-rod ball at the flattened area -2- using an open-ended wrench.
- 4.2 Adjust the toe by turning the tie rod at the hexagon -3- .
- 4.3 Tighten nut -1-

using an open-ended wrench.
A tightening torque for the nut -1- of >Tightening torque 50 Nm (36.9 ftlb.) +/- 5 Nm (3.7 ftlb.) , when using >9730 - socket-wrench insert , corresponds to a value of approx. >Tightening torque 32.5 Nm (24 ftlb.) on the torque wrench.
