Removing Wheel

Information 

Always observe the following when working with wheel bolts:

Wheel bolt

• Only use original wheel bolts. 
• Wheel bolts must never be reworked. 
• Replace damaged wheel bolts. This damage includes mechanical damage to the thread, the spherical cap and damage resulting from seizure of the bolt head bearing surface and spherical cap ring. It must be possible to rotate the spherical cap ring on the bolt shank and to move it in axial direction. 
• Never grease the wheel bolts and security wheel bolts.

Assembly aids (threaded bolts for fitting wheel)

• For vehicles with PCCB, use two assembly aids (threaded bolts for fitting wheel) -1- to prevent any heavy contact between the wheel and brake disc! 
• The assembly aids must be ordered using the Porsche Electronic Parts Information (PET). 
• To make fitting easier, a wheel fitting trolley can be used. 

Information 

The use of power tools (impact bolter) for loosening and securing the wheel bolts is not permitted.

1. Loosen wheel bolts -1-  on the wheel (do not unscrew fully!).

2. Raise the vehicle.

   NOTE: Removing/fitting wheels 

   • Risk of damage to (ceramic) brake discs 

     → Use two assembly pins when removing and fitting the wheel.

     → Carefully guide the wheel towards the wheel hub, thereby preventing any heavy impact on the (ceramic) brake disc.

3. Unscrew wheel bolts and remove wheel.
