Removing Upper Control Arm (Front)

Release parking brake.
Change into neutral gear.
Remove drive shaft -1- from the transmission flange.

Mounting for drive shaft on transmission flange
1. 3.1 Unscrew screws -2- and remove plates (turn the drive shaft in order to access the screws).
  Information
  
  Make sure that the drive shaft does not hang down as this may damage the joint.
2. 3.2 Suspend the drive shaft on rear-axle carrier side section.
Remove upper control arm (front) -1- from the wheel bearing housing.
1. 4.1 Loosen threaded joint -2- .
Loosen threaded joint -3- securing upper control arm (front) to rear-axle carrier side section.

Mounting for upper control arm (front)
1. 5.1 Unscrew nut. (Screw remains screwed in).

Tilt the wheel suspension outwards at the top so that the screw can be removed from the upper control arm (front).

6.2 Unscrew nut -3- from the rear-axle carrier side section -1- .

6.3 Carefully tilt the wheel suspension outwards as far as required at the top -arrow A- so that the screw can be removed from the upper control arm (front) -1- .
