Installing Pump
Information
If the pump is replaced, the pulley must be converted or a new pulley must be installed.
Information
Counter the shaft (pump) using a suitable tool when loosening the pulley.
- If the pump is replaced:
Convert the pulley -1- .
Pulley on pump
- 1.1 Remove screws -2- .
- 1.2 Position the (new) pulley -1- on the pump.
- 1.3 Screw in and tighten screws -2-
.
> Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
- Check sealing rings on the pressure line -2-
and return line -3-
and replace them if necessary.
Pressure line and return line
- Install pump -3-
.
Electric plug connection and pressure line
- 3.1 Position pump -3- .
- 3.2 Connect and lock electric plug connection -1- .
- 3.3 Position pressure line -2-
, then insert and tighten banjo bolt -4-
.
> Tightening torque 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)
- Secure pump -1-
.
PDCC pump
- 4.1 Screw in and tighten screws -2-
.
> Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
- 4.2 Screw in and tighten screws -3-
.
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- 4.1 Screw in and tighten screws -2-
.
- Connect return line -1-
to the reservoir -2-
and lock it.
Return line
- Press rubber sleeve on pressure line -1-
into bracket -2-
as far as it will go.
Pressure line
- Fit and lock quick connector -2-
for the oil filler neck vent line -1-
.
Vent line
- Secure resonator -1-
for tank ventilation.

- 8.1 Clip in the bracket -3- .
- 8.2 Push on and lock quick connector -2- .
- Only for Carrera:
Connect left plug connection -4- on the acoustic simulator -1- to the body and lock.
Acoustic simulator
- Secure air-conditioning compressor holder -1-
.
Air-conditioning compressor holder
- 10.1 Position air-conditioning compressor holder -1- .
- 10.2 Screw in and tighten screws -2-
.
> Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
- Tension the drive belt -1-
.
- 11.1 >9952 - Ring wrench-3- must be fitted on the hexagon of the tensioner -2- . Then, turn it clockwise as far as it will go and hold it at this position.
- 11.2 Place drive belt -1- on pulley on the generator.
- 11.3 Carefully guide the tensioning roller back to its original position.
