Removing Valve Block (Rear)

WARNING: Caustic fluids 
  • Danger of chemical burns 

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Ensure that there is good ventilation.

    → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

    → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

NOTE: Aggressive fluids 
  • Risk of damage to components and surfaces 

    → Do not spill fluids.

    → In the event of contact, wash the component or surface with water.

    → Replace components that are already damaged.

Information 

  1. Thoroughly clean the valve block and adjacent hydraulic lines to prevent dirt from getting into the hydraulic system.
  2. Get a container ready for collecting Pentosin.
  3. Remove hydraulic lines -1-  at the valve block -2-  .

    Hydraulic lines on valve block (rear)

    1. 3.1 Mark the position of hydraulic lines and connection points on the valve block with respect to each other to avoid confusing the hydraulic lines during installation.
    2. 3.2 >9780 - Loosening tool  must be pushed on as far as it will go. Then, pull off hydraulic line -1-  (except for hydraulic line at the top right).

      1. 3.2.1 Push loosening tool -2-  on as far as it will go and then pull off hydraulic line -1-  .
      2. 3.2.2 Seal open lines using suitable stoppers. Collect emerging Pentosin in a container.
    3. 3.3 Open hydraulic line (at the top right) -1-  using >VAS 6933 - Disassembly tool  or open-ended wrench (a/f 15).

      Removing upper right hydraulic line

      1. 3.3.1 Press thrust ring towards the valve block using >VAS 6933 - Disassembly tool  or an open-ended wrench -2-  and pull off the hydraulic line at the same time.
      2. 3.3.2 Seal open lines using suitable stoppers. Collect emerging Pentosin in a container.
  4. Release electric plug connection -1-  from the valve block (rear) -2-  and disconnect it.

  5. Remove valve block (rear) -1-  .

    1. 5.1 Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .
