Removing Valve Block (Front)

WARNING: Caustic fluids 
  • Danger of chemical burns 

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Ensure that there is good ventilation.

    → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

    → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

NOTE: Aggressive fluids 
  • Risk of damage to components and surfaces 

    → Do not spill fluids.

    → In the event of contact, wash the component or surface with water.

    → Replace components that are already damaged.

  1. Remove foam part -1-  .

    Information 

    • When cleaning the PDCC system components using a high-pressure cleaner, make sure that the high-pressure spray is at least 50 cm away from the component to prevent damage to electric lines, connectors and contacts.
    • Carefully clean the hydraulic connections in the area around the connection points (using a paintbrush and/or a lint-free cloth, for example).
  2. Thoroughly clean the valve block and adjacent hydraulic lines to prevent dirt from getting into the hydraulic system.
  3. Get a container/cloths ready for catching Pentosin.
  4. Remove hydraulic lines -1-  at the valve block -2-  .

    1. 4.1 Mark the position of hydraulic lines and connection points on the valve block with respect to each other to avoid confusing the hydraulic lines during installation.
    2. 4.2 Unscrew screw -3-  from the holder.
    3. 4.3 >9780 - Loosening tool  must be pressed on as far as it will go and then pull off hydraulic line -1-  .
    4. 4.4 Close off open hydraulic lines using suitable stoppers. Catch escaping Pentosin using a container/cloths.
  5. Release electric plug connection -1-  from the valve block (front) -2-  and disconnect it.

  6. Remove valve block (front) -1-  .

    1. 6.1 Unscrew screw -2-  .
    2. 6.2 Remove valve block (front) via the wheel housing.
