Fill The Level Control
WARNING:
Toxic substances
- Danger of poisoning or suffocation
- Danger of burns to the eyes and skin
→ Ventilate the work area well.
→ Never ingest or inhale.
→ Read specific information on the Hazard Sheet.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Do not smoke, eat or drink in the work area.
- Prepare new hydraulic fluid for the prescribed system filling capacity.
- 1st option :>Filling capacity 160 ml + 5 ml Fill hydraulic fluid into a measuring cup.
- 2nd option : Mark the original filling bottle (>Filling capacity 250 ml ) with the dimensions x >Height 38 mm > Marking filling bottle . The volume in the filling bottle up to the mark corresponds to the prescribed system filling capacity.

- Submerge the filling adapter in the filling container (measuring cup or filling bottle) in such a way that no air is sucked in.
- Connect the PIWIS Tester to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition.
- Close the doors and cover.
- Select Front axle lift → Drive links/checks → Lower front end (fill system
in the control unit overview and confirm the displayed message.WARNING: Moving components
- Danger of limbs being trapped or severed
→ Do not reach into the danger area.
→ Secure the system to prevent it from being activated accidentally.
→ Keep third parties away from the danger area.
Information
Check the following during the filling process:
- Get a second worker to help with the filling process.
- The compressor is always activated when you press F8 to start the routine >Time approx. 10 s . The routine can be cancelled by pressing F8 again.
- The filling adapter must be continually submerged in the hydraulic fluid. No air must be sucked in.
- If filling using a filling bottle, the bottle must be held horizontally.
- Danger of limbs being trapped or severed
- Start filling hydraulic fluid by pressing F8. Repeat this procedure until the prescribed system filling capacity (see See ) is sucked in. The routine must then be cancelled by pressing F8 again.
- Disconnect the filling adapter from the separating coupling in the wheel housing.
- Connect the actuator pressure line -1-
to the separating coupling in the wheel housing.

- 8.1 Tighten screw -2-
on holder.
> Tightening torque 4 Nm (3 ftlb.)
