Removing Tie Rod

Information 

• Make sure that no dirt gets into the power-steering gear when removing and installing the tie rod. 

1. Remove tie rod from the power-steering gear.

   Tie rod on rack-and-pinion

   1. 1.1  Loosen tie rod -2-  at the octagon using > V.A.G 1923 - Open end spanner insert, a/f 38-1-  .
   2. 1.2  Unscrew tie rod from the rack-and-pinion of the power-steering gear.
