1. Disconnect wiring harness for oil pressure control valve -1-  .

   1. 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for oil pressure control valve -2-  .
   2. 1.2 Unclip clip -3-  using a plastic spatula.
2. Disconnect wiring harness for coolant regulator and camshaft controller -1-  .

   1. 2.1 Remove heat shield for coolant regulator -2-  .
      1. 2.1.1 Unscrew and remove screws -3-  .
      2. 2.1.2 Remove heat shield for coolant regulator -2-  .
   2. 2.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for coolant regulator -4-  .
   3. 2.3 Remove heat shield for camshaft controller -5-  .
      1. 2.3.1 Unscrew and remove screws -6-  .
      2. 2.3.2 Remove heat shield for camshaft controller -5-  .
   4. 2.4 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for camshaft controller on outlet side of cylinder bank 1 -7-  .
   5. 2.5 Unclip clip -8-  using a plastic spatula and guide wiring harness -1-  upwards.
3. Disconnect wiring harness for camshaft controller for cylinder bank 2 -1-  .

   1. 3.1 Remove heat shield for camshaft controller on outlet side -2-  .
      1. 3.1.1 Unscrew and remove screws -3-  .
      2. 3.1.2 Remove heat shield for camshaft controller on outlet side -2-  .
   2. 3.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for camshaft controller on outlet side -4-  .
   3. 3.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for camshaft controller on intake side -5-  .
   4. 3.4 Unclip clip -6-  using a plastic spatula.
   5. 3.5 Guide wiring harness for camshaft controller -1-  together with wiring harness for oil pressure control valve upwards.
4. Disconnect wiring harness for oil-level sender -1-  .

   1. 4.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for oil-level sender -2-  .
   2. 4.2 Unclip clips -3-  using a plastic spatula and guide wiring harness for oil-level sender -1-  upwards.
5. Disconnect wiring harness for cylinder head on cylinder bank 1 -1-  .

   5. 5.5 Unclip clips -6-  using a plastic spatula.
   6. 5.6 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for valve lift adjustment -7-  .
6. Disconnect wiring harness for cylinder head on cylinder bank 2 -1-  .

8. Disconnect wiring harness for fuel high-pressure sensor on cylinder bank 2 -1-  .

10. Disconnect wiring harness for high-pressure pump for cylinder bank 1 -1-  .

1. 18.1 Release locking lugs, open line guide -2-  and remove engine wire harness -1-  .
2. 18.2 Pull engine wire harness -1-  off holder -3-  (-Arrow-  ).
3. 18.3 Carefully remove engine wire harness -1-  from the engine compartment.
