Installing Sub-Part For Rear Right Wheel Housing

1. Crimp the sub-part -1-  in area -X-  .
   1. 1.1 Cut off lines in different lengths (for the shrink-fit hose connections).
   2. 1.2 Slide shrink-fit hoses onto the lines.
   3. 1.3 Strip 10 mm of insulation off the wires.
   4. 1.4 Crimp lines using crimping sleeves and the > VAS 1978/1A - Crimping pliers  .
   5. 1.5 Slide shrink-fit hoses over the crimp connections and carefully shrink them using the > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  (recommended accessory for the repair kit for wire harnesses) so that they are watertight.
   6. 1.6 Wrap commercially available PVC tape all around the area of the connection points.

2. Insulate sub-part for rear right wheel housing -2-  (-2-  ).

3. Push sub-part for rear right wheel housing -1-  through the opening in the wheel housing -arrow A-  and secure rubber sleeve -2-  .

4. Secure the line.
   1. 4.1 Install sound absorber -1-  .
   2. 4.2 Route the wire harness -2-  (-arrow-  ).
   3. 4.3 Clip in tie-wrap -3-  on the body.

5. Secure wire harness.
   1. 5.1 Route wire harness -1-  in the wheel housing.
   2. 5.2 Plug in and lock electric plug connections -2-  .
   3. 5.3 Clip in fixing clip -3-  .

6. Clip in fixing clip -2-  and plug in and secure electric plug connection -1-  .
