Securing Sub-Part For PDK

Information 

Check that the lines are routed correctly!

1. Crimp PDK sub-part and vehicle wire harness in area -X-  .
   1. 1.1 Cut off lines in different lengths (for the shrink-fit hose connections).
   2. 1.2 Slide shrink-fit hoses onto the lines.
   3. 1.3 Strip 5 mm of insulation off the wires.
   4. 1.4 Crimp lines using crimping sleeves and the > VAS 1978/1A - Crimping pliers  .
   5. 1.5 Slide shrink-fit hoses over the crimp connections and carefully shrink them until watertight.
   6. 1.6 Wrap commercially available PVC tape all around the area of the connection points.

   Sub-part

2. Slide new PDK sub-part through towards the engine compartment and press rubber sleeve -1-  into the body aperture.

   Make sure that the rubber sleeve is fitted tightly all the way around.

3. Route the PDK sub-part along the PDK transmission.
4. Secure the PDK sub-part at the specified fastening points.

   Tighten the fastening screws for cable duct B+ line on the engine to > Tightening torque 18 Nm (13 ftlb.)  .

5. Plug in electric plug connections until they engage securely.
