Loosening Main Wire Harness In Engine Compartment At The Right
NOTE:
Incorrect handling of main wire harness
- Risk of damage to lines
→ The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.
→ The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.
→ If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness.
- Disconnect electric line for air cleaner.
- 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for air cleaner -1- .
- 1.2 Loosen fixing clips -2- .
Electric line
- Disconnect wire harness.
- 2.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for ABS -1- .
- 2.2 Guide wire harness out through the opening in the body -arrow- .
Wiring harness
- Disconnect electric line.
- 3.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for oxygen sensor -1- .
- 3.2 Loosen the fixing clip -2- .
Electric plug connection
- Disconnect electric plug connections -1-
.
- 4.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1- for the rear apron.
- 4.2 Loosen the fixing clip -2- .
Electric plug connection
- Disconnect electric wire harness.
- 5.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- for the exhaust system.
- 5.2 Loosen fixing clips -2- .
Electric wire harness
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for exhaust temperature sensor -1-
.
Electric plug connection
- Disconnect electric line.
- 7.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for engine mount -1- .
- 7.2 Loosen fixing clips -2- .
Line
- Guide main wire harness for engine compartment at the right out of the wheel housing -arrow A-
and pull it into the engine compartment through the opening in the body -arrow B-
.

- Press rubber sleeve together and pull it into the interior of the vehicle with main wire harness for engine compartment -arrow- .
