Loosening Main Wire Harness In Engine Compartment At The Left

NOTE: Incorrect handling of main wire harness

Risk of damage to lines
→ The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.

→ The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.

→ If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness.

Loosen fixing clips -2- and release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- for the air cleaner.

Disconnect electric plug connection for ABS wiring harness on rear axle -1- .
1. 2.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for ABS wiring harness on rear axle -1- .
2. 2.2 Guide wire harness out through the opening in the body -arrow- .

Loosen fixing clips -2- and release and disconnect electric plug connection for oxygen sensor -1- .

Loosen fixing clip -2- and release and disconnect electric plug connections -1- for the rear apron.

1. 5.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for oxygen sensor -1- .
2. 5.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on pressure sensor -2- .
3. 5.3 Loosen the fixing clip -3- .

Guide main wire harness for engine compartment out of the wheel housing -arrow A- and pull it into the engine compartment through the opening in the body -arrow B- .

Press rubber sleeve together and pull it into the interior of the vehicle with main wire harness for engine compartment -arrow- .
