Removing Heating/Fresh Air Unit

Information 

Before re-installing the component, check the O-rings on the refrigerant lines for damage and replace them if necessary.

The O-rings on the refrigerant lines must be coated with refrigerant oil.

All refrigerant lines and connections must be closed off using suitable stoppers during removal.

Stoppers for lines and connections must not be opened until shortly before installation.

1. 2.1 Screw off nut -2-  .
2. 2.2 Disconnect refrigerant lines -1-  from expansion valve.
3. 2.3 Close off refrigerant lines -1-  and connections at the expansion valve using suitable stoppers.

Refrigerant lines

1. 3.1 Loosen spring band clamps -4-  using >VAS 6890 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers  .
2. 3.2 Pull coolant lines -3-  off the heat exchanger.
3. 3.3 Close off coolant lines -3-  and connections on the heat exchanger using stoppers.

Firewall sleeves

1. 5.1 Press carpet -1-  aside until the condensed water pipe -2-  is accessible.
2. 5.2 Open plastic clamp -3-  .
3. 5.3 Pull off condensed water pipe -2-  .
