Installing Heating/Fresh Air Unit

Information 

Before re-installing the component, check the O-rings on the refrigerant lines for damage and replace them if necessary.

The O-rings on the refrigerant lines must be coated with refrigerant oil.

All refrigerant lines and connections must be closed off using suitable stoppers during removal.

Stoppers for lines and connections must not be opened until shortly before installation.

1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

   Affix new seal on the air inlet.

   Position heating/fresh-air unit -1-  with the vibration balancers -3-  at both guides -2-  of the firewall.

   Tighten nuts securing refrigerant lines to expansion valve to >Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.)  .
