Installing Brake Booster

Information 

• Every time the brake booster is removed, the seals must be replaced. 

1. Replace seals -1-  .

   Brake booster

   • The brake booster must not be lifted in area -A-  .
   • Make sure not to damage the push rod boot -1- when removing and installing the brake booster. 
2. Carefully position brake booster -1-  in installation position -arrow A-  . Get another person to guide the push rod from the footwell.

3. Fit brake booster -1-  on mounting saddle -2-  .

   1. 3.1  Tighten new nuts -3-  . > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) 
4. Clip brake booster push rod -1-  into the brake pedal -2-  (-arrow A-  ).

5. Connect and lock electric plug connections -1 and 2-  for brake booster -3-  .

6. Connect and lock electric plug connection -4-  for brake fluid reservoir -1-  .

7. Fit brake lines -1-  on the brake master cylinder -2-  .

   1. 7.1  Tighten cap screws -3-  to > Tightening torque 16 Nm (12 ftlb.)  and secure brake lines in the bracket -4-  .
8. On vehicles with manual transmission:  fit vent line -2-  and return line -3-  to the brake fluid reservoir -1-  .
