Installing Rear Brake CALLIPER

WARNING: Danger of injury and damage from brake fluid! 
  • Poisonous if swallowed! 
  • Irritation and damage to skin 
  • Avoid contact with paint surfaces 

    → Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only

    → Wear protective gloves and goggles

    → In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water

    → In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off

  1. Install brake calliper -1-  .
    1. 1.1  Fit brake calliper -1-  .
    2. 1.2  Screw in and tighten brake calliper screws -2-  .

      Standard brakes: 

      > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 75° 

      "S" brakes: 

      > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 75° 

      PSCB/PCCB brakes: 

      > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 75°

      Rear brake calliper

  2. Secure the brake line -1-  to the brake calliper.
    1. 2.1  Fit holder -4-  and insert brake line -1-  into the brake calliper.
    2. 2.2  Screw in and tighten screw securing holder to brake calliper -2-  .

      > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.4 ftlb.) 

    3. 2.3  Screw in and tighten union nut on brake line -3-  .

      > Tightening torque 16 Nm (12 ftlb.)

  3. Connect electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1-  , lock it and clip it into the holder -2-  .
