Removing Front Brake Calliper

WARNING:
Danger of injury and damage from brake fluid!
- Poisonous if swallowed!
- Irritation and damage to skin
- Avoid contact with paint surfaces
→ Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only
→ Wear protective gloves and goggles
→ In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water
→ In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off
NOTE:
Removal of brake calliper
- Paint defects on brake calliper
→ Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
→ Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.
- Disconnect lines from the brake calliper.
- 1.1 If there is a burr on the outside of the brake disc, reset the brake pads slightly using a suitable tool.
- 1.2 Unclip electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1- from the holder -2- and release and disconnect it.
- 1.3 Unscrew union nut on brake line -3- .
- 1.4 Pull the brake line out of the brake calliper -4- and set it aside.

Collect emerging brake fluid using suitable aids and close off connections using suitable stoppers.

Information
If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back.
