Installing Front Brake Calliper

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING: Danger of injury and damage from brake fluid! 
  • Poisonous if swallowed! 
  • Irritation and damage to skin 
  • Avoid contact with paint surfaces 

    → Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only

    → Wear protective gloves and goggles

    → In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water

    → In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off

  1. Install brake calliper -1-  .
    1. 1.1  Fit brake calliper -1-  .
    2. 1.2  Screw in and tighten brake calliper screws -2-  .

      Grey cast-iron brakes: 

      > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 75° 

      PSCB bakes: 

      PCCB brakes: 

      > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 75°

      Front brake calliper

  2. Secure lines on the brake calliper.
    1. 2.1  Insert brake line into the brake calliper -4-  and screw in and tighten union nut on brake line -3-  .

      > Tightening torque 16 Nm (12 ftlb.) 

    2. 2.2  Connect electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1-  , lock it and clip it into the holder -2-  .
