Measuring Front Brake Disc - Lateral Runout

- Fit > 9510/1 - adapter plate-1- .
- Only for vehicles with central wheel bolts:
Fit > 9510/1 - adapter plate-1- .
- 2.1 > 9510/1 - Adapter plate-1- must be fitted on the hub of the brake disc -2- .
- 2.2 Position wheel driver pins -3- .
- 2.3
Screw in and tighten screws for wheel driver pins -4-
.
> Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)

Information
The front face of the wheel hub must not be corroded.
The front face of the wheel hub must be cleaned using a fine emery cloth if necessary.
- Measure lateral runout of brake disc -2-
.
- 3.1 Secure dial gauge -1- with ball joint arm from > Nr.147-1 - dial gauge set with ball joint arm at a suitable position on the wheel suspension.
- 3.2 Adjust dial gauge -1- from > Nr.147-1 - dial gauge set with ball joint arm so that the dial gauge is touching the outer edge of the brake disc -2- with slight preload.

Set dial gauge -1-
from > Nr.147-1 - dial gauge set with ball joint arm
to zero, turn the brake disc -2-
at the > 9510/1 - adapter plate-3-
slowly by one full turn and check the deflection of the dial gauge -1-
.
Dial gauge on brake disc
- If the lateral runout of the brake disc is outside of the tolerance range:
Measure lateral runout of the wheel hub.
Maximum lateral runout of brake disc: > Dimension 0.07 mm
