Loosen And Secure Brake Callipers Front

Information 

• To gain better access for assembly work, it is a good idea to turn the steering fully either to the left or right. 

Information 

Do not damage the dust boots of the brake pistons, replace them if damaged.

Information 

If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back.

1. If there is any burr on the outside of the brake disc, reset the disc brake pads slightly using a suitable tool.
2. Disconnect cable and cable plug for brake pad wear indicator.

   Electric lines for brake pad wear indicator

   1. 2.1  Unclip and unlock and pull off cable plug -1-  for brake pad wear indicator from holder -3-  .
   2. 2.2  Disengage retaining rubbers -2-  from the holder -3-  .
3. Detach holder -1-  for brake pipe and cable at the wheel bearing housing.

   1. 3.1  Unscrew screw -2-  on holder.
   2. 3.2  Remove holder.
4. Loosen brake calliper -1-  .

   Brake calliper front

   1. 4.1  Loosen screws -2-  on the brake calliper and unscrew the upper screw. Guide a tie-wrap into the bore.
   2. 4.2  Unscrew second screw and replace screws.
   3. 4.3  Secure the brake calliper in the wheel housing at a suitable position (fixed component) using a tie-wrap.

      Protect the brake calliper from paint damage using a thick cloth or cardboard.
