Removing Disc Brake Pads Front: Notes

  1. Press back brake pistons.
    1. 1.1 > T10145 - Piston resetting appliance  must be inserted between the disc brake pads.
    2. 1.2  Press brake pistons back slowly and evenly. Be careful of the dust boots on the brake pistons when doing this.
  2. Removing disc brake pads -1-  .

    Disc brake pads in brake calliper

    1. 2.1  Fit a plastic wedge between the brake pads -1-  and brake calliper -2-  .
    2. 2.2  Carefully loosen the disc brake pads from the brake calliper by turning the tool slightly.
    3. 2.3  Unclip electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -4-  and remove disc brake pads from pad retaining pins -3-  .
  3. Clean the contact surfaces of the disc brake pads in the brake calliper and check the dust boots for damage/cracks.
