Loosening Front Brake CALLIPER

Removal of brake calliper

- Paint defects on brake calliper
→ Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
→ Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.
- Disconnect electric lines for brake pad wear indicator.
- Remove holder -1- at the wheel bearing housing.
- Loosen brake calliper -1-

Information
If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back.
- Suspend brake calliper -1-
in the wheel housing.

Have suitable fastening elements -2-
(e.g. tie-wraps) ready for suspending the brake calliper -1-

Information
The most suitable position for suspending the brake calliper in the wheel housing must be selected in accordance with the work to be carried out.
If you do not intend to work in this area, the chassis spring, for example, may be suitable for suspending the brake calliper.
- 4.2 Attach fastening element -2- at a suitable position in the wheel housing.

Remove brake calliper -1-
from the wheel bearing housing and suspend it at the relevant prepared position. Make sure not to damage the brake lines on the brake calliper -1-
