Installing Brake Pads Front

WARNING: Installation of brake pads with the wrong brake pad quality
  • Longer braking distance
  • More wear on brake pads

    → Only use the type-specific brake pads listed in the Porsche Spare Parts Catalogue.

    → Replace the brake pads when the brake pad wear warning light comes on, but no later than when there is a residual pad thickness of 2 mm on each axle.

    → Replace the brake discs on each axle as soon as the brake disc wear limit is reached.

WARNING: Old mounting parts fitted on the brake calliper
  • Reduced braking effect
  • Risk of damage to the brake calliper

    → Fit new pad retaining springs

    → Fit new fastening screws

  1. Install rear disc brake pads -1-  .

    1. 1.1 Insert disc brake pads into the brake calliper -2-  and push them onto the pad retaining pins -3-  .
    2. 1.2 Clip electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -4-  into the brake calliper.
    3. 1.3 Check that the disc brake pads are fitted correctly.
