Removing Rear Disc Brake Pads

- Paint defects on brake calliper
→ Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
→ Protect brake calliper from paint defects using a suitable cloth.

If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back.

Do not damage the dust boots of the brake pistons, replace them if damaged.
- Press brake pistons back.
- 1.1 > T10145 - Piston resetting appliance must be inserted between the brake pads.
- 1.2 Press brake pistons back slowly and evenly. Be careful of the dust boots on the brake pistons when doing this.
- Remove brake pads -1-
from brake calliper -4-
.
- 2.1 Insert a suitable tool between the brake pads -1- and brake calliper -4- .
- 2.2 Carefully loosen the brake pads -1- from the brake calliper -4- by turning the tool slightly.
- 2.3 Remove brake pads -1- from pad retaining pins.
- 2.4 Disengage pad retaining springs -2- and electric line for wear indicator -3- from the brake calliper -4- and remove together with brake pads -1- .

- Clean sealing surfaces of the brake pads in the brake calliper.
