Install Brake Calliper

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Loosen tie-wrap to secure the brake calliper.
  2. Position brake calliper on brake disc and wheel bearing housing/adapter (PCCB 992 without GT3) with new screws.
  3. Tighten new screws on -2-  brake calliper -1-  .

    Front brake calliper

    1. 3.1 Screws for grey cast-iron brakes: 

      > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 75° 

    2. 3.2 Screws for PCCB brakes: 

      > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 75° 

  4. Secure cable and cable plug for brake pad wear indicator.

    Electric lines for brake pad wear indicator

    1. 4.1 Connect cable plug for -1-  brake pad wear indicator and clip it in at the holder -3-  .
    2. 4.2 Engage retaining rubbers -2-  in the holder -3-  .
  5. Position holder -1-  with brake line and cable on wheel bearing housing and secure.
    1. 5.1 Fit and tighten screws on holder -2-  .

    Bracket on wheel bearing housing

    > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 

  6. Press the brake pedal several times to fit the disc brake pads on the brake disc again.

    Information 

    The brake fluid level must be between the Min  and Max  markings.

  7. Check brake fluid level in the reservoir and correct it if necessary.
