Test Values/Wear Limits
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Information
The following condition criteria can make replacement necessary depending on the wear of the PCCB brake discs (new generation without indicators in the friction surface):
- Too many damaged carbon fibres in the PCCB brake disc (wear caused by the effects of temperature).
- Check PCCB brake discs while complying with the measuring prerequisites using VAS 6813 Tester for PCCB brake discs.
- It is no longer necessary to check the brake disc minimum thickness for this generation of brake discs.
| Location | Description | Type | Basic value | Tolerance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pad thickness, front | Measured value | approx. 12.0 mm | ||
| Pad thickness, rear | Measured value | approx. 12.0 mm | ||
| Brake disc wear limit, front and rear | Measure using VAS 6813 Tester. Observe measuring prerequisites. New values/wear values and three measuring points are lasered onto the brake disc hub. Wear value reached: Replace PCCB brake discs on each axle. | Measured value | Read off values on the brake disc hub | |
| Thickness tolerance of brake discs, maximum | Measured value | 0.02 mm | ||
| Lateral runout of brake disc, maximum | Measured value | 0.03 mm | ||
| Lateral runout of wheel hub, maximum | Measured value | 0.03 mm | ||
| Lateral runout of brake disc when installed, maximum | Measured value | 0.06 mm |
