Removing Fuel Pump

  • Danger of fire or explosion 

    → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.

    → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.

    → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.

Information 

The fuel tank is transparent in the graphics for greater clarity.

Fuel tank components (ail-wheel drive)

1  Bleeding unit - cannot be removed
2  Fuel level sender
3  Fuel pump with fine fuel filter
4  Filler neck
  1. Remove fuel pump -5-  .

    For easier access, swivel vent line -1-  to the side, then turn and pull off the inner filler neck -4-  .

    Loosen bracket for the sucking jet pump -3-  .

    1. 1.2.1  Actuate release -2-  and unclip bracket -3-  .

      Turn the fuel pump -5-  anti-clockwise -Arrow-  and detach from the bayonet lock -6-  .

      The detail shows the fuel pump from below. 

      Carefully guide the complete unit out of the fuel tank.
