Removing Fuel Supply Line (Front Section)

WARNING: Highly inflammable or explosive materials

Danger of fire or explosion
→ Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.

→ Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.

→ Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.

→ Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.

→ Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.

Information

Watch out for emerging fuel when disconnecting fuel lines. Place a clean cloth on the connection point, then loosen the connection.

Remove rear tunnel reinforcement -1- .
Unscrew and remove screws -2- .

Information
- Get another person to help you to guide the fuel line in and out.
Lower the vehicle as required so that the mechanic lying on a creeper board under the vehicle can guide the fuel line in and out.
Have a step ladder or pedestal ready beside the vehicle so that your helper can guide the fuel line along.
Release locking mechanism -arrow A- and pull off the fuel line -arrow B- .

Unclip fuel line -1- (-arrow 2- ) and move it as far as the foam -arrow 3- .

Slide the fuel line and plug-in coupling -1- through between the foam and bulkhead by pushing it downwards -arrow 2- .
