Installing Fuel Line (Low-Pressure Side)

Fuel line (low-pressure side)

Position fuel line on low-pressure side -1-  .

Coat the thread and cone on the union nut -5-  with Microgleit DF977S.

Fit union nut -5-  by hand.

Attach holder -6-  .

Secure holder for fuel pressure sensor.

1. 1.5.1  Screw in fuel pressure sensor screw -4-  and tighten.

   > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

2. 1.5.2  Clip in clips -3-  .
3. 1.5.3  Connect electric plug connection for fuel pressure sensor -2-  and lock.

   Tighten union nut -5-  .

   > Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

   > Final tightening torque angle + 50° + 10° 

   Tighten union nut -5-  .

   > Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

   > Final tightening torque angle + 50° + 10°

Electric line

Engine suspension eyelet

Position engine suspension eyelet -1-  .

Screw in and tighten screws -4-  .

> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

Screw in and tighten screw -3-  .

> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

Screw in and tighten screw -2-  .

> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Low-pressure fuel line (lower section)

Position lower section -1-  .

Coat the thread and cone on the union nut -2-  with Microgleit DF977S.

Fit union nut -2-  by hand.

Clip in holder -4-  .

Screw in and tighten screw on bracket -3-  .

> Tightening torque 32 Nm (24 ftlb.) 

Tighten union nut -2-  .

> Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

> Final tightening torque angle + 50° + 10°

Fuel line on low-pressure side (top section)

Position top section -1-  and fit onto bolt.

Connect and lock plug-in coupling -3-  .

Screw on and tighten nuts -2-  .

> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
