Removing Filler Neck

Highly inflammable or explosive materials
- Danger of fire or explosion
→ Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
→ Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
→ Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
→ Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
→ Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.
Information
Watch out for emerging fuel when disconnecting fuel lines. Place a clean cloth on the connection point, then loosen the connection.
- Place a warning sign in a clearly visible position in the work area or on the vehicle.

- Unscrew and remove fastening screws -2-

Make sure not to damage the electric line.
- Carefully lift the battery bracket -1- and turn it around until the electric plug connection is accessible.
- Disconnect electric plug connection on the fuel pump control unit.

for the filler neck.

- Disconnect ground line -1-

- Release tank vent line at the filler neck -arrows A-
and pull it off -arrow B-

- Release line at the fuel tank -arrows A-
and pull it off -arrow B-

Fuel line
- Open clamp for filler neck -arrows A- .
- Pull filler neck off the connection at the fuel tank -arrow B- .
- Guide out filler neck using a twisting motion.
