Removing Anti-Roll Bar

Information 

The anti-roll bar -1-  is removed together with anti-roll-bar mounts -2-  and anti-roll bar clamps -3-  .

1. Remove trailing arm -1-  from wheel bearing housing.

   Mounting for trailing arm

   1. 1.1 Loosen threaded joint securing trailing arm to wheel bearing housing -2-  .
2. Remove anti-roll bar on both sides of the vehicle from the connecting link -1-  .

   1. 2.1 Unscrew nut -2-  and counter at the articulated bolt on the connecting link.
3. Remove anti-roll bar clamps -1-  on both sides of the vehicle from the rear axle carrier.

   1. 3.1 Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .
4. Turn anti-roll bar -1-  (-arrow A-  ) and guide it down and out -arrow B-  .

5. If the anti-roll bar, anti-roll-bar mounts and anti-roll bar clamps are not replaced:  Secure anti-roll-bar mounts -1-  with a tie-wrap -2-  immediately after removing the anti-roll bar so that the anti-roll-bar mounts -1-  do not become detached from the anti-roll bar clamps -3-  .

   If an anti-roll-bar mount still becomes detached from the anti-roll bar clamp, the anti-roll-bar mount must be installed as described under

6. If the anti-roll bar, anti-roll-bar mounts or anti-roll bar clamps are replaced: Remove and install anti-roll-bar mounts.
