Removing Intake Manifold

CAUTION: Hot components 
  • Risk of burns 

    → Let hot components cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

Installation overview on turbocharger at the left -1-  and right -2-  :

Intake pipe on turbocharger

1  Left intake pipe
2  Right intake manifold
3  Screw-type clamps, top
4  Screw-type clamps, bottom (V-band clamp) - replace
5  Screws on V-band clamp
6  Vent line connection - right intake pipe
  1. Remove intake manifold -1-  .

    Loosen upper screw-type clamp -2-  .

    Loosen screw-type clamp (V-band clamps) at the bottom -3-  .

    Replace the bottom (V-band) screw-type clamp! 

    Also disconnect vent line -5-  at the right-hand side.

  2. Disconnect and remove intake manifold.
  3. Replace O-ring on the connection to the turbocharger.
