Removing Air Guide On Charge-Air Cooler (Top)

Information 

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.

  1. Loosen oxygen sensor cooling element -1-  .

    Oxygen sensor cooling element

    Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .

    Unclip oxygen sensor cooling element -1-  from holder -3-  .

    Set oxygen sensor cooling element -1-  aside.

  2. Remove air guide on charge-air cooler (top) -1-  .

    Loosen spring band clamp -2-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamps pliers  .

    Detach wastegate hose -3-  and unclip from holders -4-  .

    Set wastegate hose -3-  aside.

    Unscrew screw -5-  .

    Unclip air guide -6-  from locking lugs -7-  .

    Remove air guide on charge-air cooler (top) -1-  together with air guide -6-  in -direction of arrow-  .
