Additional Work For Vehicles With PDCC

WARNING: Danger of injury and material damage when using Pentosin.
  • Risk of skin irritation and damage to skin.
  • Damage to hoses and wiring.

    → Wear protective gloves and goggles.

    → In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water.

    → Collect emerging Pentosin.

    → Use caps to protect the wiring against soiling and damage.

    → Clean hoses and wiring immediately.

WARNING: Caustic fluids
  • Danger of chemical burns

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Ensure that there is good ventilation.

    → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

    → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

  1. Remove holder -1- for hydraulic lines at the right.

    Unscrew two M6 fastening screws -2-  .

  2. Unclip hydraulic lines -1 and 2 -  at the right -Arrows-  .

    Remove fixing clip -3-  .

  3. Disconnect and close off hydraulic lines on the distributor.

    Loosen union nuts -1- on the pressure lines.

    Close off hydraulic lines and secure them at the side with a tie-wrap.

  4. Unclip PDCC lines -A-  from the brackets -1-  .

  5. Disconnect plug-in couplings -1 and 2-  for the steering hydraulic system on the valve block. Collect any Pentosin that leaks out in a suitable container.

    Open the return line -1-  using special tool -2- > 9780 - loosening tool  .

    Open the pressure line -1- using an open-ended wrench (a/f 15). Press thrust ring towards the valve block using an open-ended wrench and pull off the line.

  6. Close off hydraulic lines -1-  and secure them with a tie-wrap.

  7. Loosen anti-roll bar at the hydraulic actuator.

    Unscrew M10 collar nut and counter at the internal Torx screw.

Information 

  1. Route PDCC lines -LHP vehicle -  on the underbody and clip them into the brackets -1-  .

  2. Remove all stoppers from the hydraulic lines -1- and loosen tie-wrap.

  3. Connect plug-in couplings -1 and 2-  for the steering hydraulic system on the valve block.

  4. Clip in hydraulic lines -1 and 2 -  at the right -Arrows-  .

  5. Secure hydraulic lines on the distributor with union nuts -1-  .

    > Tightening torque 28 Nm (21 ftlb.)

  6. Install holder -1- for hydraulic lines at the right.

    Fit and tighten screws -2-  .

    > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

  7. Fill in Pentosin at the hydraulic reservoir, check the fluid level and top up if necessary.

  8. Apply pressure to the pump via the reservoir.

    Bleed the system.

  9. Visually inspect line connections for leaks.
