Installing Cylinder Head Cover - Cylinder Bank 1-3
- Risk of damage to units or components
→ Protect components from dirt and contamination.
→ Clean or replace dirty components.
- Install cylinder head cover.
Clean sealing surfaces.
Fit cylinder head cover.
Screw in cylinder head cover screws in the sequence -1 to 20- and tighten.
> Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)
Re-tighten cylinder head cover screws -1 to 4- .
> Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)
Screws for cylinder head cover
- Fit and lock quick connector -2-
for the vent line -1-
.
Vent line
- Install engine mount bracket -1-
.
Fit engine mount bracket -1- .
Screw in new screws -2 and 3- .
Tighten bottom screws -3- .
> Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 50°
Tighten upper screw -2- at front.
> Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 120°
Tighten upper screw -2- at the rear.
> Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 120°
Engine mount bracket (shown on cylinder bank 1-3)
- Secure turbocharger lines leading from the cylinder head cover.
Fit oil line -10- , then screw in and tighten screws -8 and 9- .
> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Fit coolant pipe -7- , then screw in and tighten screws -5 and 6- .
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Screw in fuel line screw -4- and tighten.
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Push on and lock quick connector -3- .
Close line bracket -2- , screw in screws -1- and tighten.
> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
